5 Must-Have Travel-Approved Products

Five travel-friendly products that every on-the-go gal must have.

When it comes to travel, it's all about getting prepped for TSA approval: Limiting liquids, keeping everything below 3 fl. oz. and stocking up on double-duty beauty booty. When tasked with paring down your beauty stash for a one- or two-day trip, only a few essentials are needed. Here, a list of my grooming go-tos for short sojourns that don't require an entire arsenal of goods. If I'm jetting post-blowout for a quick trip, here are the six travel-friendly products I always make sure to pack.

1. BB Cream
A multitasker's dream, these creams blend SPF, moisturizer and a hint of color for a perfect, low-maintenance makeup look. Got oily skin? Smooth on Olay’s Fresh Effects BB Cream Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer and you're good to go. If you’re headed somewhere warm and sunny, make sure to toss it in your beach bag for reapplications throughout the day.

2. Tinted Lip Balm
During the spring and summer, lose the formality of lipstick and opt for a sheer tinted lip balm. CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balms come in a Pat McGrath-approved variety of colors and they keep your pout perfectly hydrated (and protected from the sun) for hours on end. Tip: In a pinch, they can double as a cream blush, as well. My favorite? The sheer tomato-red Anemone. I've gone through no fewer than seven sticks of these bad boys.

3. Mascara
I never go anywhere without mascara. When brushed on my top and bottom lashes, I look low key, glamorous, awake and refreshed. Plus, mascara can double as a long-wearing liquid liner. Just use a long skinny eyeliner brush and dip it into your mascara bottle. Presto. CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara 's formula works well for MacGyver–esque beauty moves like this one.

4. Hydrating Body Wash
Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash with Shea Butter should be a permanent fixture in your toiletry tote. Pour this decadent wash into a smaller, TSA-approved container and bring it along on your next trip. The softly scented hydrating body wash is multi-functional — it can be used in lieu of body lotion and shaving cream, as well. My limbs are positively gleaming after a shower with this stuff.

5. Makeup Removing Wipes
If your skin is well-behaved enough to use whatever facial cleanser your hotel provides, bravo! Just remember to remove your makeup first with a moist wipe to ensure your pores won’t get clogged at night. Try Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths as a preliminary step. They're also great to keep by your bed for those late nights when you know you just won't have the energy to wash your face before crashing.

Covergirl & Olay maybe good products for a lot of people but not for me. I have high sensitivity to these products but will take this good ideas & substitute my own brands.
