Since I began using Cascade Action Packs, I only have to scrap my dishes before loading them in the washer. With other products, I practically had to pre-wash them. I was about ready to get rid of the dishwasher and then I tried Cascade. I will not use any other brand now. I have overloaded the machine and still my dishes come out clean. My grandchildren have loaded the dishwasher incorrectly and still the dishes are clean. I am truely amazed and satisfied with Cascade Action Packs.

I have found that the Action Pacs are very easy to use, pre-measured, less messy and more economical than using traditional powder or liquid automatic dish detergent. My kids think it is fun to do the dishes now... They are eager to put the soap packet in where before it was a chore to gill the cup with soap and messy. I have always been at odds with exactly how much soap to use and with Action Pacs there is no guess work. This has saved me money and time. I know exactly how many loads of dishes I can wash and can anticipate when I need to buy more. Additionally the dishes are always clean when they come out. Great product and I highly recommend it. This same technology and packaging would be great for laundry soap products... Hint Hint P&G engineers.

1st off, 6 month old dishwasher, top of the line model... I start to notice a light residue on our dishes and think "no big deal". Then the film gets worse, and I begin to notice discoloration of the inside of our dishwasher. I use the recommended vinegar treatment and don't think much of it because it fixed the discoloration of the dishwasher, but our dishes would still have a light film. Fast forward 30 days... Our dishes are permanently stained with the white film (including dishwasher safe china), and there is a thick coating stuck to practically every surface of the dishwasher. My appliance repair guy comes over to take a look, and points out something I hadn't yet noticed... ALL the jets on my dishwasher are clogged with "crystallized Cascade® detergent". White flakes that are clogging the jets, preventing the water from adequately dispensing the gel from the tray and therefore allowing it to just coat the entire inside of the machine. SOOOOO, I do what he recommends to keep from buying an entirely new machine. I grab my putty knife (yep), and begin scraping this stuff off the inside and making piles of it, and vacuuming it up with a shop vac. The bottom, where the water is circulated through those hundreds of holes, was completely clogged so I took a pipecleaner to each hole. Then I start on the jets. Turns out, these white flakes have completely filled the spray arms. I spent over 10 hours total with many pipecleaners loosening it, and then running it through the outside hole from top to bottom to get them out. I used the shop vac taped to a hollow pen to try getting this stuff out... 10 hours. Then, I did 3 full treatments each of the following: 3 CLR recommended treatments, 3 Vinegar treatments, 3 Bleach treatments, cleaning the jets still periodically DURING each of these ( I work 50 hours also mind you). FINALLY, it was running properly and looked almost new, and my dishes that weren't ruined yet were coming out clean.
Fast forward 60 days to the present time. After running a load of vinegar treatment once per week, I'm back to the EXACT same place I was prior to scraping, vacuuming, piping, treating, piping. I know my dishwasher like I know the way to my bathroom at night. But I REFUSE to do this again (although there's a full CLR load going now). I have never used anything other than Cascade. I see where you have said you "fixed" the crystallizing of your product in the bottle... I could care less about that, I'm concerned with what you can do to: Fix my dishwasher, Keep it from happening anymore, and still clean my dishes.
For those of you still reading, I assume you're as upset and confused as I am how they still are not FIXING the problem. Look at the jet holes in your dishwasher, I would bet money they are clogged with the white crystallized flakes I was talking about, and that's why your dishwasher isn't cleaning properly. Good luck with your pipe cleaning adventures. Oh, and if you have an easier way to break them up without manual labor PLEASE let me know (Vinegar, CLR, and Bleach don't work on their own).
Anxiously awaiting...

This product basically ruined all of my dishes. We had been using the Cascade liquid detergent for years, and had no problems. We switched for convenience sake, but all we got were white filmy dishes. Our red pots and pans are permanently dingy, and we have a few red plastic bowls that are ruined. I've tried scrubbing the heck out of them by hand, but nothing will take off this coating. Also, on our dishwasher door, there is permanent residue left behind from the packets. Water temperature is not an issue, and we run the sink until hot before we run the dishwasher. I will not be recommending these packets to anyone.

I bought 3 bottles of the Cacade w/Dawn Liquid 75oz last week and I am very disappointed. I opened the first bottle and started to squeeze some out and I was surprised to see that it was very watery. I tempted to use it in the first load and when the cycle was complete my dishes were still dirty. So I went to the second bottle and I could not believe it but it was the same way. Finally I looked at the code on the back of the bottle, they were the same 20861731032008

These left soap scum all over my dishes, after I stopped using them, I had to scrub several times to get the left over soap off my dishes.
It's works great, but not as great as they say. My daughter made meat loaf in a ceramic dish and we washed it the same night using a "complete actionpac with dawn", I then took it out of the dishwasher and it had a white residue in the bottom of the dish.
I recently purchased a 60ct container of the Cascade plus Dawn ActionPacs-fresh scent, and they are absolutely terrible. The supposedly-dissolving pacs do not dissolve, so I constantly need to re-run my dishwasher. So far, I have used about 20 of the pacs, and only 5 have worked "properly," although properly is not the best word. The pacs have broken open, but not dissolved, and I am left with pieces of pac all over my dishes. Considering the price I paid for these, I am extremely disappointed in the product.

I was very disappointed with this product. It leaves a soapy taste on all of my dishes. It is so bad on my daughter's sippy cup that I cannot let her use it anymore. I had high hopes for this product and am very sad that I have had such a bad experience.
I purchased a 75 oz bottle of Cascade with Dawn and it was terrible. From the moment I opened the bottle, it gushed out looking just like water, clear, not milky white, like I was expecting. I tried it a few times and it didn't work. The dishes were all spotty and not clear, like they should have been. I had to go get another bottle of diswasher detergent.....a different brand of course. Just wanted to tell of my experience to see if it happend to any one else.

Awhile back my husband brought home Cascade powder dishwashing detergent and it worked amazingly. I didn't buy it for awhile because of the price, and then broke down and bought more because of how great it was before. When I was at the store they only seemed to have one type of Cascade in powder...so I thought that it had to be the same one from before. It must have been a different formula because this detergent leaves a powder coating on everything. It practically ate the top layer off of my black plastics and left a white, rough residue (it feels awful to touch, especially if your hands are already dry) that won't wash off, even when scrubbed with regular Dawn and hot water. Bottom line: this formula, in powder form, is no good, and it ruined a lot of my cookware. After searching around, it seems I'm not the only one with this expereince. I want the old Cascade back!

Wow. Just wow. I moved into a new condo a year ago, and all this time I thought the dishwasher was terrible. Turns out it was the bargain-brand dishwasher soap I was using that was terrible. Just used Cascade with Dawn for the first time.....opened the door of the dishwasher and said 'Wow - the dishes are all clean and sparkly!'. Even called my boyfriend over to come and look. He agreed. Thank you - I am never using anything else!

This cascade with dawn scent is awful, it made my dishes smell and taste like soap and it is being a nightmare trying to get rid of it.
I bought Cascade extra action instead of the normal Cascade Complete I usually buy. It was a mistake. It doesn't get the dishes or glasses very clean, and I find myself hand washing most of my dishes over. I am not at all impressed with it and Have a 105 pac to deal with. I will probaby end up not using it and going back to my original. Not impressed, not one little bit. :(

The title says it all, honestly, this stuff leaves a nasty white film so baked onto your dishes you will have to run your dishes with CLR to remove the film.
