If you’re looking for a quick — but still stylish — hair fix, you have to try these simple, built-to-last braids. Braids will keep hair tame and in style, and you don’t need to be a braiding whiz to achieve any of these looks. Just a basic understanding of braiding, and you’ll be good to go!

1. The Simple Side Braid
This look is the easiest! It keeps all of your hair out of your face, and takes just two minutes to complete. Just pull all of your hair to one side, separate into three sections and braid. You can secure with a clear elastic at the end, and wear it over your shoulder.

2. The Braided Bun
This second look takes the side braid a step further. After braiding the hair, wrap the braid around itself and secure to the side of the head with a few bobby pins. This updo is a little more sophisticated, and looks beautiful at a wedding or cocktail party. Be sure to give the look some extra hold by spraying a strong hold hairspray, like Pantene Extra Strong Hold Hairspray, around the base of the bun.

3. The Side-braid Bun
For a fun twist, try this side braid with a classic bun. Starting at the temple on one side of the head, braid a 1- to 2-inch section of hair through the ends. Gather all hair (braid included) at the base of the neck, and secure with a hair elastic. Once secure, wrap the ponytail around itself into a bun and pin in place. This is a truly lovely look from all angles!
