5 Quick, Stylish Hairstyles for Busy Mornings

5 Quick, Stylish Hairstyles for Busy Mornings

Steal the show no matter what the occasion with these five do-it-yourself hairstyles.

When you’ve got a long list of things on your to-do list, the last thing you have the time to do is style a complex hairdo.

Luckily, you don’t have to take all morning to come up with a magnificent look! Use these five styles to create a quick, easy and stylish hairdo.

1. Voluminous Ponytail
A low ponytail with a high crown and gentle romantic waves is not only safe for the office, it’s also ideal for parties!

Comb all your hair except the front sections back carefully (only the base of the roots). Once every part has been combed back, apply some hairspray to set the hair.

Tip: Try this look on your second-day hair! Simply refresh your strands using Herbal Essence's Naked Dry Shampoo.

2. Sleek Retro Look
This ’50s-inspired retro style helps keep the hair out of your eyes, which complements a new dress.

Skip the hair straightener and just use the hair dryer for more volume and texture. This will give you a gentle and straight look with plenty of movement. Starting at the front of your hairline, take the upper ends of your hair and pull them tight toward your crown. Use bobby pins to fix it in place.

3. Chic Side-ponytail
A side-ponytail can easily come across as too childlike, but that won't happen if you set the ponytail below your ear, where it will naturally fall across your shoulder.

Wrap your hair around a thin curling iron, starting from the center parting to the ends. Before you make a ponytail, brush your crown and bangs in the direction you desire.

Carefully add height by backcombing the back crown. Set the hair in place using a hair tie. Brush your ponytail and use a mild gel down the sides to set it firmly in place and contain the loose strands.

Use an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner to protect your locks from damage. At the same time, you will keep wavy hair in check and add a silky-soft finish.

4. Refined Bangs
Give basic bangs an added elegance with the way this style frames your face.

Combine this fringe with gentle loose waves for a fun evening look or a casual, messy style during the day.

Dry your bangs straight down using a round brush. To create extra softness, just pull the ends of your bangs through the hair straightener. Comb your hair with your fingers toward the side and apply some hair spray to keep it in place. Use a mild anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. This will keep your hair in place, giving it a luxuriously silky look.

5. Hollywood Waves
A glamorous hairstyle is always a perfect accessory to a fabulous outfit.

Apply mousse to damp hair and then dry your locks straight with a broad, flat hairbrush. Use medium curlers to curl the back and sides of your hair downward. For the front, use thinner curlers and curl it toward the back. To create a flowing wave, just brush your hair toward the back and soften it with your hand. Use a heat-protectant shine spray.

I cannot picture what they are trying to say. If there were pictures with step-by-step directions with the directions would be a tremendous help.

I vote "Yes" to putting pictures with this set of hairdo suggestions. Clearly the writer had a description of what was seen in the brain, but I don't know what she was seeing and these descriptions are not enough without pictures. BLNT
