Every woman should have a button-up shirt (or four) in her closet. They are so incredibly versatile and can be worn year-round. Here are four ways to wear the timeless oxford shirt.

1. Classic with Jeans
There's nothing more chic than a classic white button-up shirt, dark denim jeans and a pair of black pumps. For a pop of color, you can add a bright red lip color or even this season's popular burgundy-colored lipstick. A printed or colorful bag can help keep your outfit fresh each time you wear it.

2. Under a Sweater
Layer your oxford under a cable-knit sweater. Button your shirt all the way up to your neck and make sure you choose a heavy sweater so the buttons don't peek through. Then add a major statement necklace. If you don't have one that matches, you can always double up on your necklaces to create a unique looking piece of jewelry.

3. With a Suit
An oxford shirt looks great with a tailored suit. Add a statement pendant necklace to up your fashion game. If a full suit is too fancy for your lifestyle, you can wear a more casual one with dark denim and a matching jacket (navy and black are the easiest to pull off).

4. Under a Sweatshirt
Sweatshirts are a huge trend this season. Look for a sparkly one or a pullover with a graphic print. Then layer an oxford underneath to add a bit of structure to the casual piece. You can wear it with leather pants, jeans or even a skirt!

Do you have an old oxford you can style for fall?
