There’s no doubt that the tunic is warm weather staple. You can wear it as a cover-up over bathing suits or dress it up for a night on the town with wedges and gold accessories. So why are we talking tunics if summer is over? They’re actually perfect to wear year round. In fact, an embellished tunic is a great top to keep in your closet for every season. If yours has beading or embellishment, you won't have to worry as much about accessorizing! Here are two ways you can bring a tunic into colder months.

1. Tunic on Top, Faux Leather on Bottom
Wear your tunic over a pair of faux leather leggings. The warmer material on your bottom half instantly brings the lightweight top into fall. Need another great reason to wear a tunic? The longer top will cover your bottom half for a very flattering look. While classic black leggings are always safe, why not try an oxblood-colored pair to give the season’s new hue a spin? For shoes, you can wear booties or try leopard pumps to bring in a fall print.

2. Lots of Layering
Fall is all about layers. The trick to layering is to start with the tightest garment, like a long-sleeved ribbed knit or lightweight cashmere sweater. Once you have a body-hugging base, you can layer looser fabric on top. That's where the tunic comes in. Its voluminous shape is perfect for layering over warm, form-fitting long-sleeved tees. Add a pair of jeans and over-the-knee or knee-high boots and you're good to go for a warm, autumn look!

Get more bang for your wardrobe buck by making the tunic seasonless. How will you style your spring or summer pieces for fall?
