3 Latest Spring 2014 Runway Trends

Try one of these three easy-to-wear spring trends straight from the runway.

While there were plenty of classic options at fashion week, there were also an equal amount of bold trends. Here are a few of our favorites.

Sequins were shining bright both on and off the runway at fashion week. Pailettes are one trend you can wear from season to season. While most people think sparkle should be reserved for night, this is no longer the case! Make a sequin dress more casual by finishing it off with neutral accents. Or pair a pailette pencil skirt with a chambray shirt (another spring trend!) for a sparkling daytime look.

Print Blocking
The “color-block party” is here to stay. But a new type of blocking is on the horizon: print blocking. Designers combined various patterns to create unique statements on the runway. If you're feeling adventurous, try a mixed print dress. Just remember to keep your accessories minimal. You don't want to go overboard! If you're afraid of pattern overload, you can also work the trend into your wardrobe using accessories. A lightweight scarf featuring dots and stripes can instantly update your look for the season.

Snakeskin slithered onto the runways for spring. While some designers featured reptile jackets and skirts, this trend is easiest to achieve through accessories. Try an alligator embossed bag or python print pump to add a luxe feel to old outfits in your wardrobe. The best part? With so many chic faux options available, you won't have to break the bank!
