4 Pieces that Instantly Pull an Outfit Together

Pull your look together instantly with one of these four classic wardrobe staples.

You know those hectic mornings — which are probably happening more frequently, now that the holidays are practically here — when you look in the mirror and think that something is missing? You need a little something extra, but you’re not exactly sure what to add. Look no further — here are four suggestions for taking a bland outfit to the next level.

1. The Blazer
A blazer makes everything look more polished. You can throw it on over jeans and a T-shirt or wear it with a pair of slacks to turn your outfit into a suit. Since blazers never go out of style, it's ok to spend a little more and invest in a well-tailored jacket that will last year after year.

2. The Statement Necklace
It's quite amazing what a major piece of jewelry can do for an outfit. A statement necklace can instantly transform a T-shirt from casual to super stylish. You can also layer statement necklaces over your sweaters and button-down shirts. Don't be afraid of color or shine. When it comes to this jewelry staple, the bolder the better!

3. The Bold Bag
A large structured bag instantly elevates an outfit. While black is always a safe choice, why not go for a color this season? Oxblood is a popular hue that works with most colors in any wardrobe. Cobalt blue is also very much on trend. When choosing a handbag, look for one with hardware details. It makes the accessory look more expensive!

4. The Pointy Pump
Slip on a pointy pump and your whole outfit comes together instantly. You can wear the shoe with trousers at the office or with a black dress and tights for date night. When you first get your pumps, try them on with socks at home. This will help you break them in so they'll be more comfortable the first time you wear them.

Thankfully, these all work well for office to holiday party transitions. What’s your favorite go-to wardrobe staple?
