Get the Look: Parisian Chic

Borrow a few beauty tips from the French with this spring trend tutorial.

Parisian women have a way of always looking sophisticated, even in a simple white T-shirt and jeans. While a trip to Europe to soak in French trends would be nice, we have the scoop.

1. Effortless Locks
Use any anti-frizz products you may need and brush your hair. It’s that simple.

Overall, your style shouldn’t be overdone, or it will look like you tried too hard — and that’s the opposite of Parisian. Skip the curlers. Say no to your super straightening iron. Instead, just let your locks go free — or tie them back into a sleek ponytail. If your second-day hair needs a little boost, try a dry shampoo like Herbal Essences Naked Refreshing Dry Shampoo.

2. Defined Eyes
Your eyes should look defined but natural. The best way to achieve this is to pass on any sparkle or shimmer. Instead, contour your lids with a matte palette.

  1. Start by brushing a natural shadow over the entire eye
  2. Then brush a light to medium brown in the crease of the eye, blending it toward the lid
  3. Line the lid with brown eyeliner and finish it off with mascara. You can also use a brow pencil to fill in your brows

No need to be too precise with your eye shadow and liner, as looking a little undone is perfectly Parisian.

3. Bold Lips
A red lip adds an instant chic factor. Keep with the matte colors. Line your lips with a pencil and then fill everything in before applying a lipstick (this helps the lipstick stay better). If your lips are dry, you can apply some lip balm but steer clear of any gloss.

With these three tips, you’ll be rocking a Paris-worthy look in no time.
