Even if you feel like you married your best friend, there’s no denying the power of a strong female friendship. Whether you’ve been close since you were kids or you forged your bond as adults, your BFF may be the sounding board for a variety of challenges you’re facing. As a result, she might actually know a funny story from your past or an embarrassing habit that you’d rather not share with your spouse. Here, 11 women confess the secrets their best friends know that their husbands do not.

1. “She knows there have been times when I pretended to sleep while our daughter was whining in the middle of the night, so my husband would have to deal with it!”

2. “I love to watch cartoons. My husband would think I was crazy, but my best friend knows I love it because I was an art teacher, and I get a kick out of them.”
