There comes a moment in every parent’s life when they say, "Oh, my gosh. Did I really just do that?" And we're not talking about that awkward moment when you realize you've just turned into your mother, or when you realize what your life has become because you're cutting a grape into fours. We're talking about parenting fails here. Fails that made us gasp at what we just did to the little people we love more than anyone on this earth!

Here, 11 mamas spill their biggest parenting fails of all time. (We're all in this together, right?)

1. "On more occasions than I'd like to admit, I left the house thinking my son was ready to go diaper free! Only to find out that NOPE, we were definitely not ready to go diaper free yet!" -- Adriana V., mom of a 10-year-old boy

2. "I once drove with my 3-month-old in the car seat -- without the straps on! I was at a friend's house and put her in the seat before I was ready to leave -- and I forgot to buckle it. Good thing I was only a few blocks away!" -- Jen A., mom of a 3-year-old girl

3. "I once got on an airplane and realized that I had forgotten all of my son's pacifiers. He was 5 months old at the time and he was pretty much crying unless he had one in his mouth. Not a pleasant flight!" -- Jenny W., mom of a 5-year-old boy

5. "When my son was first born, I was so scared to give him a bath that he wound up developing a horrible diaper rash and had to get special cream. Terrible, I know!" -- Anonymous, mom of a 2-year-old boy

6. "I recently forgot my kids' lunch at day care -- no joke -- three times in one week! I don't know where my head was!" -- Kathy R., mom of a 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy

8. "I used to let my daughter play with a bottle of hand sanitizer when I was changing her diaper, because it was the only thing that would keep her quiet. One day, it opened up right into her mouth. I was on the phone with Poison Control right away -- dumb move on my behalf!" -- Anonymous, mom of a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl

9. "I gave my son eggs when he was 9 months old. He immediately broke out in a huge rash and was a mess. I had no idea they were so allergenic!" -- Anonymous, mom of a 2-year-old boy

10. "I recently took my daughter on a long day trip and completely forgot to bring an extra pair of undies for her. Of course, she wound up having an accident, so we had to run into the store to buy underwear that was two sizes too big. And it felt so gross letting her wear undies that weren't washed!" -- Lynn K., mom of 7- and 4-year-old girls

11."My son really wanted to go in my basement a few weeks ago, and I had stuff to do upstairs, so I didn't want him going. He kept asking me and asking me and finally I told him that we couldn't because there was a doctor downstairs giving throat cultures -- he's terrified of throat cultures! Awesome parenting, huh?!" -- Anonymous, mom of a 3-year-old boy
