20 Toddler-Approved Activities That Make Moms Go Nuts

20 Toddler-Approved Activities That Make Moms Go Nuts

What’s more fun than flushing Mommy’s wedding ring down the toilet?

By Nicole Fabian-Weber

Before I became a mom, I assumed that all children were ... well, not insane. I dutifully purchased beautiful wooden toys for my daughter when she was a few months old ... only to have her gravitate toward the hideously garish plastic ones when she was big enough to play. And now that she's a toddler, well, my efforts to provide responsible and educational toys, games, and activities are proving to be futile once again.

Forget the handcrafted, artisan games welded together with organic fairy dust. Here are 20 "activities" toddlers really love playing (much to parents' dismay!).

1. Running in circles approximately 974 times, missing sharp table corners within about an inch.

2. Anything. As long as you "watch me, watch me, waatttchhh meeee!"

3. Putting makeup on ... your white bath mat.

4. Flushing things down the toilet that aren't pee or poo.

5. Peeing and pooing in places that aren't the toilet.

6. Drinking dirty bath water.

7. Seeing if the DVD player will play bagels. With cream cheese.

8. Climbing all the things.

9. Seeing if they can unravel an entire new toilet paper roll within the four seconds you

had your back turned.

10. Finger painting ... with butter on your window.
