45 Questions a Toddler Asks in a Day

One mom’s hilarious account of all the questions her 2-year-old asks in a day.

If I had to describe toddlers – or more specifically, my toddler -- in one word, it would be "inquisitive." From the moment my 2 1/2-year-old daughter wakes up to the minute she goes to sleep, it’s 20 Questions. Actually, it’s more like 978 Questions.

Pretty much every single thing that comes out of my (usually) sweet kiddo's mouth is a question. And if she wasn't so stinkin' adorable with her little face and tiny voice, it would be incredibly annoying!

Here, 45 actual questions my little one has asked me in the span of one day:

"Mama, what are you doing?"

"Mama, what is Dada doing?"

"Mama, what is Onion (our dog) doing?"

"Can I have a treat?"

"Can I have another treat?"

"Can I have a cookie?"

"Where's my water?"

"Can I watch a show?"

"Can I watch the rabbit movie?"

"Is Mr. McGregor mean?"

"Is Mr. McGregor going to get me?"

"Can Mama get me?"

"Can Mama chase me?"

"Can Onion chase me?"

"Can I play beads?"

"Can I play markers?"

"Can I draw on this (the chair)?"

"Can I draw on this (the couch)?"

"Can I draw on this (Onion)?"

"Can I have a snack?"

"Is Mama going to take a nap?"

"Is Dada going to take a nap?"

"Where are my dinos?"

"Where's my baby?"

"Mama, can you change Baby's diaper?"

"Mama, are you happy?" (This, after she broke a cup.)

"Am I happy?"

"Are you kidding me?" (Truth be told, she repeated this after I said it.)

"Is my water kidding?"

"Do I have a beard?"

"Mama, can you watch me?"

"Am I doing something I'm not supposed to?" (Yes.)

"Can we go upstairs?"

"Can we go downstairs?"

"Where's the mailman?"

"Does the mailman have a beard?"

"Can I give Onion a cookie?"

"Can I brush Onion?"

"Can Mama put braids in my hair?"

"Mama, can you eat this?" (Talking about a piece of fuzz.)

Phew! I'm sure there are a few that I missed, but man! Living with a toddler can be exhausting ... and yes, incredibly hilarious.
