11 Women Share What They Love Most About Their Bodies

Women reveal the truth about what they like most about their bodies.

As moms, we are often our own harshest critics. We think our butts are too big, or we hate our post-baby belly jiggle. And yet, our bodies perform amazing tasks (like birth our little ones!). So we asked moms what they love most about their bodies. You may find yourself agreeing with some of their comments.

1. “My C-section scar. I had a very difficult birth and we almost lost my son, but that scar reminds me just how fortunate we were -- and are. Now he’s 5 and perfectly healthy.” -- Laura, Poughkeepsie, New York

2. “My toes. I’m all about nice, clean, well-groomed feet. I’m obsessed with pedicures -- I pick a vibrant color each time, including blue, red, pink, and even purple. I think my toes look simply adorable.” -- Renee, Berwyn, Illinois

3. “My eyes. I have one blue and one brown. People always comment on them. I used to wear contacts in high school to make them the same color (blue), but now I’m comfortable enough in my own skin to realize that my two different eye colors make me unique.” -- Katrina, Danbury, Connecticut

4. “My bottom. I work out religiously -- squats, lunges, pelvic tilts -- and I like to think this shows in my hiney.” -- Marisa, Staten Island, New York

5. “The way my brain works. I’m a very literal person and I see things in a very different perspective from my friends, husband, and coworkers. I like to think it makes me creative -- they’d probably say wacky -- at any rate it’s what makes me, me.” -- Summer, Chicago, Illinois

6. “My glucose levels. I had gestational diabetes with my second child, and my doctor told me I had a strong chance of getting type 2 diabetes based on family history and weight. Well, I completely changed my diet and started exercising. I have my blood tested every year and so far, so good.” -- Alicia, Austin, Texas

7. “My nose. I’m Italian, and I have a strong, prominent nose. When I was younger, I was really embarrassed, but now I see my mother, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother whenever I look in the mirror.” -- Rosa, Boston, Massachusetts

8. “My chest. I’ve always been relatively flat chested -- never wore a bra bigger than an A cup before pregnancy -- and always lamented that I was so small. But I nursed both of my kids and the sense of being the soul nourishment for my little babies -- and giving them the antibodies they needed – made me feel like Wonder Woman.” -- Julie, Seattle, Washington

9. “My eggs! I had two kids at age 41 and 43 -- both naturally -- so I’m grateful my eggs were strong enough to hold out until I was ready for babies.” -- Nicole, Villa Park, Illinois

10. “My lips. I have full lips, just like Angelina Jolie. I hated them when I was a kid and the other kids would make fun of me, but now I feel like they’re sexy.” -- Alisa, St. Louis, Missouri

11. “My hair. I was born with curly hair, then it all fell out at 2 years old and grew back straight. Then, after kids, my hair fell out again, this time it grew back wavy. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.” -- Danielle, Los Angeles, California
