6 Silly Arguments Husbands Should Never Pick With Their Wives

6 Silly Arguments Husbands Should Never Pick With Their Wives

Is it really worth getting into a fight about what to watch on TV again?

When you've been with someone a long time, it's easy to, well, get annoyed with them. You may have the best relationship in the world, but odds are you fight with your significant other more than anyone else because you're with him more than anyone else. That said, sometimes people need to know when to zip it.

Just like there are fights wives are wise to avoid picking with their husbands, the same goes for the men. Some things in marriage are best left unsaid, as no good can possibly come from them.

Here are six silly fights husbands would do well to avoid having with their wives.

1. The "you're always late" fight. Many ladies take longer than men to get ready. It just is how it is, and it's been this way since the beginning of time. Getting into an argument over this every single time is pointless. The best course of action for men? Download a few good games onto your phone, and find a comfy seat.

2. The redecorating fight. Maybe it's just me, but my husband and I tend to get into tiffs over redecorating and rearranging furniture. Mainly, it's because I want to do it constantly, and in order for me to do it, I need his help moving and hanging things. I could see how it would get annoying, but is this really cause for a fight? Hardly. It seems so silly! (Hint: If my husband really wants to get out of it, he should just say, "Can we do it later?" and odds are by then I will have changed my mind.)

3. The temperature fight. Many of us just happen to be naturally colder than our spouses. Don't go trying to sneak the thermostat down few notches without us knowing, fellas. We'll know. And we'll get annoyed.

4. The "who cares what our kids look like" fight. Getting our kids gussied up for special occasions -- particularly if they're small -- may sound silly to some dads. After all, odds are, they're just going to mess up their clothes, right? But still! When our kids look like disheveled messes, it's a bad reflection on us. Please don't sigh at us when we're trying to get the children dressed up all cute.

5. The "do you really need to buy that?" fight. Of course, if one party in the relationship is constantly frivolously spending money, it's a problem. But once in a while women ought to be able to treat themselves on something that may seem silly ($30 lipstick, anyone?) without an argument. And vice versa.

6. The "what are we going to watch on TV?" fight. Just as wives should let their husbands watch what they want once in a while, the ladies ought to be able to watch their shows without an argument from their other half. Sure, he may prefer to watch hockey while you’d rather get your daily news fix, but relationships are about give and take, remember?

What arguments do you think husbands should avoid picking with their wives?
