The cold of winter is slowly making its way out. Spring Break will be here shortly and it’s the perfect time to take a family vacation and enjoy some sun. Here are some warm spots for family-friendly Spring Break trips that will beat any winter blues.

1. Carlsbad, California
Looking for plenty of activities for kids without the crowds? Carlsbad is the place to be. Just 40 minutes north of San Diego, Carlsbad has beautiful beaches and quaint shopping. It’s also the home of Legoland California and Sea Life Aquarium.

If you need a break from the place where “Everything is Awesome,” enjoy a wagon ride through spectacular beauty of The Flower Fields and a casual family dinner at Pizza Port Carlsbad.

Stay at Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa to overlook the ocean, enjoy the spa, and be close to all the attractions. Disneyland is just one hour north from Carlsbad and Sea World and the San Diego Zoo are 40 minutes south.

2. Scottsdale, Arizona
Spring Training is in town and the weather can’t be beat. Spread out a blanket and enjoy a Spring Training baseball game on the lawn at Salt River Fields, the Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. World Series champs, the San Francisco Giants play nearby at Scottsdale Stadium.

Kids will also enjoy nature at Butterfly Wonderland or take a hike to see the beauty of the desert at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Adults and kids will be wowed at Top Golf. This multi-level facility might look like a driving range, but it is so much more. Enjoy great food, play point-scoring golf games for all skill levels, and relax on the patio enjoying the mountain views.

Stay at Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas to be close to all the action and enjoy some much needed pool time.

Enjoy thrill rides and African animals at Busch Gardens Tampa. Also located nearby is the top rated Lowry Park Zoo.

If parents need some relaxation, stay at Hilton Clearwater Beach. The Kid’s Club will entertain the little ones while parents enjoy a cabana on the private white sand beach.

4. Atlanta, Georgia
All of the action is close-by in downtown Atlanta, where plenty of family-friendly fun is within walking distance. Kids can envision themselves as anchormen and women on the CNN Studio Tour, taste exotic soft drinks at the World of Coca-Cola, and watch fountains dance in Centennial Olympic Park. Don’t miss the Dolphin Tales show and other amazing sea creatures at the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest in the world.

For families looking for a little more action, Six Flags Over Georgia is an easy 15-minute drive west and opens during Spring Break. Stone Mountain, located about 30-minutes east of downtown Atlanta, offers both history and adventure. Explore the park with multiple ways to view the confederate carving, or enjoy a wide variety of fun activities, including a high ropes course, an indoor activity area for younger kids, train and duck boat rides and more.
