I know, I know – Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating the love of your life and Miami is a romantic place to do so. However, the last time my family and I were in this city, we discovered so many fun things to do in Miami with kids that we wanted to share them with you.

Do you want to enjoy fine dining, frolic on the beach, rent a boat, fly a kite or have an animal encounter? Miami has ALL of these activities! Plus during the month of February, Miami is celebrating Romance Month with promotions and special events perfect for anyone visiting the 305!

CRANDON PARK
Crandon Park is the place to bike, canoe, sail, walk or just reconnect with nature. This county park offers so many family friendly amenities like $7 parking, cabanas, wheelchair and stroller ramps, concessions and rentals to plan an eco-adventure.

WALKING ESPAÑOLA WAY
Explore Española Way in South Beach’s Art Deco district where there are so many places to eat, experience and shop! At night, get ready for live music, people dancing in the street and various tapas to enjoy.

MIAMI CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
With over 50,000 square feet dedicated to play and learning, the Miami Children’s Museum is one of the largest children’s museums in the country. Your kids will love playing and learning with water, wind, fire and earth. One of our favorite exhibits in the museum was the Art Studio where my boys discovered the art of Frida Kahlo all while exploring different mediums of art.

Your kids will love the hands-on activities at the Miami Children’s Museum.

Plus with fantastic partners like Carnival Cruises, Bank of America and Baptist Children’s Hospital, the museum offers many multi-cultural and bilingual activities that are perfect for all types of families. Definitely check the Events Calendar for all the details, especially the availability of the brand new Baptist Children’s Hospital Health and Wellness Center, which opens on February 20th.

JUNGLE ISLAND
This intimate zoo in Miami is full of amazing animal encounters. Jungle Island emphasizes interaction so there is several petting areas perfect for children of all ages. One of our favorites was getting to feed red kangaroos!

Other must-do activities at Jungle Island are the animal shows; the Winged Wonder show was one of the best animal shows we have ever seen. We had a great time learning about the different types of birds in the world and how closely they resemble their ancient dinosaur ancestors. The zoo isn’t very large so you can get through it in one day and even smaller children should be able to walk around without getting too tired.

MIAMI SEAQUARIUM
Just minutes from Biscayne Bay on a 38-acre tropical paradise, you’ll find Miami Seaquarium where your family can enjoy dolphins, manatees, seas lions and countless other marine animals in eight different shows and animal encounters. Plus during the entire month of February they have love promotions and a Penguin Isle special offer.

If you stay at either Hilton Cabana Miami Beach, Hilton Miami Downtown or countless other Hilton properties in Miami, don’t forget to ask your concierge for a little help on special treats and one-of-a-kind experiences for the LOVES of your life.
