5 Cookie Recipes Requiring 5 Ingredients or Fewer

Remember spending the day with your mom in the kitchen making cookies from scratch – spending a whole day covered in flour and sprinkles in the kitchen making yummy cookies? But who has time for that these days?

You do. Here are five cookie recipes with five ingredients or fewer.

Peanut Butter Kisses

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Package of chocolate drops

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine the sugar, egg and peanut butter in a bowl.
  3. Roll into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls and then press down with a fork so the fork pattern is in the cookie.
  4. Line a cookie sheet and spread evenly on the sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes and then while still somewhat warm add a chocolate drop in the middle.

Tip: For a different twist try using crunchy peanut butter!


Christmas Cake Cookies

Ingredients
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 bag of chocolate chips
One box of sprinkle cake mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all four ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Line a cookie sheet. Drop a spoonful on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 9-10 minutes.

Tip: For a different twist try any cake mix, the possibilities are endless!


Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
One stick butter
One bag chocolate chip cookies
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Soften the butter in the microwave. In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar until creamy. Add in the egg and mix.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and the flour.
  4. Line a cookie sheet and spoon out about two tablespoons of the mixture on to the cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Tip: For a different twist stir in a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vanilla when adding the egg.


Christmas Ball Cookies

Ingredients
One box of thin mint cookies
1 package of cream cheese, 8 ounces
Green melting chocolate

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese in the microwave.
  2. Melt the green chocolate in a double broiler on the stove or in the microwave. If you melt it in the microwave, stir every 30 seconds.
  3. Crush the mint cookies in a bowl. Mix in the cream cheese.
  4. Line a cookie sheet. Roll mixture into 1 inch balls and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  5. Once partially frozen, dip them in the green melted chocolate mixture and freeze for another 20 minutes in the freezer.

Tip: For a different twist sprinkle the green balls with red sprinkles before the last freezing part.


Christmas Pretzel Bites

Ingredients
1 box of small pretzel twists (they should look like circles)
1 package of green and red regular chocolate candies
1 package of chocolate drops

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Line a cookie sheet and arrange circle pretzels all over the cookie sheet. Place a chocolate drop in the middle of each circle.
  3. Place in oven for about 2 to 3 minutes until the chocolate drop is completely melted into the circle.
  4. Place a chocolate candy in the center and push down.
  5. Chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes

Tip: For a different twist use white chocolate and peppermint chocolate drops!
