Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Try this sweet, savory alternative to french fries that’s anything but ordinary.


Ingredients (serves 4 people)

  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with foil and coat with non-stick cooking spray.


  2. Cut sweet potatoes in half, lengthwise, and place flat side down on a cutting board. Slice into 1-inch wide wedges.


  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper.


  4. Lay the potatoes, cut side down, on prepared baking sheet and place on the bottom rack of the oven.


  5. Once potatoes begin to soften, about 15 minutes, flip them over. Continue cooking for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until potatoes begin to brown.


  6. Loosen from the pan with a spatula and serve warm.

Didn't even know that we could make fries out of sweet potatoes. That's amazing!

I haven't had good luck making sweet potato fries yet! I will try the suggestion to bake them on bottom rack of oven, I haven't tried that yet.

I've tried sharing as well to Facebook no luck says needs to b debugged but then don't do anything I'm using my iPhone maybe that's why!
