Crocheted doily
Embroidery hoop
Yarn or ribbon
Misc. items to hang

1. Use string to knot each point of the doily to the embroidery hoop
2. Wrap yarn or ribbon around the hoop and secure with glue
3. Decide what you want to hang from the hoop and how many strands of yarn or ribbon you need. Tie them around the hoop where you would like them
4. Attach items to the hanging strands. String on beads and buttons, secure leaves and feathers by tying them on, tie fabric pieces to the strands and so on
5. Attach items to the doily as well. Sew on a button, stick in a lapel pin or embellish in whatever way you’d like
6. Hang above a bed or anywhere you need inspiration

Tip: The baubles on your dream catcher can easily be changed. Try tailoring them to the season with pinecones and jingle bells for winter, felt hearts for Valentine’s Day, paper butterflies for spring and beautiful leaves for fall.

I really like this idea! I make the actual real dreamcatchers with the web and such, both to sell and as gifts to family and friends. But with the simpler design, I could be more casual with them and make themed ones, such as baby showers, wedding themed, and holidays... even sport team variations. I'm really glad I came across this, thanks!
