Musical instruments can be turned into works of art or functional pieces of furniture. Learn how to create a fun side table from an old bass drum.

Materials
Old bass drum (less than 24 inches in diameter)
Spray paint primer
Spray paint (color of your choice)
24-inch round glass tabletop (available at furniture or craft store)
Clear anti-scuff pads (self adhesive)

Instructions

  1. In a well-ventilated area, spray the bass drum with primer. Let it dry
  2. Spray the drum in the color of your choice. Let it dry
  3. Line the piece of glass up over the top of the drum. Note where the lug nuts (metal bolts) are on the drum, and place a clear anti-scuff pad on the glass, directly above each lug nut. This will prevent the drum from scratching the glass, but also prevent the glass from sliding around on the top of the drum
