(2) 48” x wall height x 3/4” hardwood ply with a polyurethane finish
Desktop with built-in drawers
(2) 2” x 2” Table leg top plates
(2) Table legs
(2) 12” L-brackets
(3) Floating shelf kits
Large box 2 1/2” wood screws
Small box 1” wood screws
(2) Decorative drawer handles for desk
Drill with Phillips head bit
Stud finder



  1. Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall. Mark with a pencil all the studs across 8’ of wall space where the plywood boards will be placed. Attach the plywood boards to the wall using a drill with a Phillips head bit and 2 1/2” wood screws with washers through the studs. Each board should have a minimum of 8 wood screws spaced around it to hold it to the wall (See images below)


  1. Place the desktop face down. Place a 2” x 2” table leg top plate in the front two corners of the desk, 2” from the sides. Secure in place using 1” wood screws with washers over them to help stop the screws poking through into the drawer space (See images below)

  1. Screw the legs into the table leg top plates (See image below)

  1. Add two L-brackets to the bottom back side of the desktop. Place the L-brackets flush with the back of the desktop and 6” in from the side edges. Secure to the desktop using a drill with a Phillips head bit and (3) 1” woods screws with washers per L-bracket (See images below)

  1. Turn the desk over and rest it up again the plywood wall, flush with the wall’s right edge. Check with a 4’ level to make sure the desktop is straight. Secure to the wall using a drill with a Phillips head bit and (6) 2 1/2” wood screws through the L-brackets into the wall (See images below)

  1. Place the two drawers in the desk. Attach a drawer handle to each drawer using the accompanying screws (See images below)


  1. Hold the first shelf up to the wall wherever you’d like it positioned and mark with a pencil the center of the shelf on the wall. Set the shelf to one side. Remove the wall-mounting bracket from the back of the floating shelf and place it on the wall at the pencil mark. Check with a level that the mounting bracket is straight. Secure in place using a drill with a Phillips head bit and (3) 2 1/2” wall screws (See image below)

  1. Slide the floating shelf onto the wall bracket. Secure in place using (3) screws that come with the floating shelf kit (See images below)

  1. Repeat Steps 7 to 8 to add a second and third shelf (See image below)
