Floral Curtains

Materials
Inexpensive plain curtains
Thick green yarn
Scissors
Assortment of artificial silk flowers in the colors of your choice
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Instructions

  1. Spread out the bottom 3 feet of the curtain onto a flat work surface
  2. Cut two or three lengths of yarn to make your flower stems. Lay them on the curtain so they hang a foot over the bottom edge. Position the yarn so they curve like plant stems. Cut smaller lengths of yarn and fashion them into leaves along the stem

  1. Use scissors to cut silk flowers’ buds from their plastic stems. Cut off any excess plastic or Styrofoam bulk that maybe present from around the flowers to make them as light as possible
  2. Place the flowers onto the curtain at the top of the yarn stems
  3. Once the flowers and stems are in your desired position, carefully lift up the yarn and apply hot glue in a line onto the curtain, and then press it down in place. Fold the 1-inch overhang of yarn under the curtain and glue onto the backside
  4. Glue down the rest of the leaves and the flowers
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 6 for the second curtain
