Instructions

1. Lay the (4) 24” x 24” plywood boards in a row so they are touching each other and the edges are flush. Lay the faux fern leaves on the plywood in an arrangement to your liking. It’s OK if the ferns overlap 2 boards and the edges of the plywood (See images below)

2. Put on a facemask. In a well-ventilated area, pick up each leaf one at a time, spray adhesive onto the front of it and place it face down on the plywood. Make sure the leaves are pressed down onto the plywood (See images below)

3. Pour the paint into a paint tray. Using a foam roller, carefully apply paint all over the plywood and leaves, making sure the leaves don’t lift up. Carefully roller the paint either side of the fern stalks (See images below)

Expert Tip: Make sure that the paint roller has all the excess paint rolled out of it before you roll it over the leaves. If the roller has too much paint, the paint will bleed under the leaves and make a mess.

4. Carefully peel the ferns off of the plywood and set to one side. If there is any bleeding, touch up the edges of the ferns with a fine paintbrush dipped in the paint (See images below)

5. Paint the side edges of each piece of plywood using the roller. Allow the paint to dry for at least 2 hours or until dry to the touch before moving onto the next step (See images below)

If there is any glue residue on the plywood from where the leaves were removed, gently remove it with a medium grit sandpaper block. Once the glue is removed, put on a facemask and in a well-ventilated area, spray all four plywood boards with matte finish to seal them. Dry times will vary. Check spray can for details
