Table Leg Candlesticks

These wooden candlesticks are a clever way to repurpose old dining and coffee tables.

Materials
Wood table legs in 3 different heights
4" round wood plaques
½" × 10" × 16" piece of wood
1/8" drill bit
Drill
(6) wood screws
Wood glue
Ebony wood stain
Paintbrush
Rag
Pillar candles

Steps

1. Lay the 4" wood plaques on the wood base to determine spacing. Make sure they’re not too close to each other



2. Use the drill and the 1/8" drill bit to drill a hole through the middle of each plaque and the wood base



3. Use the drill and the 1/8" drill bit to drill a hole in the center of the table legs on both ends. Repeat this step for the other two table legs



4. Place a small amount of wood glue on the bottom of the table leg. Drill a wood screw through the bottom of the wood to connect the wood base to the table leg. Repeat this step for the other two table legs



5. Place a small amount of wood glue on the bottom of the wood plaque. Drill a wood screw through the top of the plaque and into the table leg. Repeat this step for the other two table legs



6. Use the paintbrush to apply wood stain to the entire piece. Use the dry rag to remove any excess stain. Apply additional coats of stain as needed. Allow stain to fully dry 



7. Add the pillar candles to complete the look
