Turkey Lasagna Recipe

Switch out traditional ground beef for turkey and salsa to spice up this lasagna recipe.

2 pounds ground turkey meat
26 ounces mild salsa
Jar of pasta sauce
3 cups shredded four-cheese mix
1 package uncooked lasagna noodles

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Boil 4-6 quarts of water. Add lasagna noodles and continue boiling for 8 minutes
  3. While boiling noodles, cook the turkey meat in a large skillet coated with olive oil over medium heat until meat is browned. Stir until the meat begins to crumble. Add pasta sauce to meat. Turn down heat to medium-low and allow the meat and pasta sauce to simmer
  4. Once the noodles are done, slowly pour into a strainer to remove the water. For your first layer, place the lasagna noodles evenly in one layer onto a large baking dish
  5. Spread turkey meat across the first layer of noodles. Spread mild salsa across the layer of turkey meat. Top the salsa and meat layer with cheese. Cover the meat with cheese—as much cheese to your liking. Add two more layers of noodles, turkey, salsa and cheese
  6. Put lasagna in the oven for about 10 minutes. When fully baked, cheese should be completely melted
