This fun heart-shaped wall art project is a great for family members to make together.

(20–25) short tree branches
Permanent marker
Acrylic paint in desired color
Hole punch
16" × 16" clear plastic sheet
16" × 16" brown paper
Garden clippers
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks


1. Trace a heart on the 16" × 16" piece of clear plastic, and use the scissors to cut out the heart shape. Use the plastic heart as a stencil to trace a heart shape on the brown paper, and cut it out

2. Line up the branches inside the heart-shaped piece of brown paper. Use the garden clippers to cut the branches to fit inside the heart shape

3. Pour paint into a small plastic cup. Dip the bottom 2" of each branch into the paint. Allow the paint to fully dry on the brown paper

4. Apply a small amount of glue to each branch, and attach it to the heart-shaped piece of plastic 

5. Use the hole punch to make two holes in the plastic heart shape (see the image below for hole placement). Thread a piece of string through the holes and secure on each end to hang the wall art
